Early Intervention Services
Professional services to maximize a child’s potential outcomes in milestone development and growth
TPP Early Intervention Developmental Program
At The Private Practice, our early intervention developmental program is tailored to the individual needs of the child. This program is for children 6 years and below with identified special needs such as autism, intellectual disabilities, developmental delays or behavioral challenges that impact their ability to learn and interact with others, communicate and develop social relationships.

Why Is Early Intervention Important?
The early years of the child’s life is crucial. It is in these years that children develop fundamental skills such as motor skills, language and communication skills, gross and fine motor skills, social-emotional skills and self-help skills.
Children who are unable to meet their developmental milestones probably have a developmental delay. Early intervention aims to develop children with developmental delays by closing the gap in their development. This is done through capitalizing on the high levels of brain plasticity during infancy and toddlerhood in order to reduce delays or symptoms of autism by altering the trajectory of brain development

Our Curriculum
The person-centered developmental program is crafted using the Early Start Denver Model combined with the Universal Design Learning Approach. It is a naturalistic developmental behavioral intervention which incorporates teaching techniques from Applied Behavioral Analysis (ABA) and Pivotal Response Training (PRT) with an emphasis on building strong, positive relationships with adult caregivers in order to promote social development
TPP Early Intervention curriculum is planned in accordance with MOE Kindergarten Nurturing Early Learners Curriculum Framework. It is an evidence- based informed developmental program developed in consultation with early intervention specialists and a multi-disciplinary team of professionals consisting of psychologist, speech language therapist and occupational therapist
The program enhances development of the child holistically in the following areas:
- Physical Development (Gross & Fine Motor Skills)
- Speech and Language Development (Receptive and Expressive language skills)
- Social and Emotional Development (Functional communication and play skills)
- Cognitive Development
- Self-help skills
- Values and Character Education

Individual Attention
The classroom environment at The Private Practice allows your child’s educators to give them the time and attention they need in order to succeed. We offer intensive individual and small group programs with no more than a 1:2 teacher to student ratio. We believe in keeping class numbers low to maximize learning potential

The Intervention Journey: Person-Centered & Multidisciplinary
The child begins their journey with an assessment of their current learning and developmental needs. An individualized plan is crafted together with parents and Early Intervention Specialists with inputs from multi-disciplinary professionals in order to meet the child’s intervention goals.
